A cracking Brut Champagne from one of the regions Grand Marques, Heidsieck & Co Monopole (not to be confused with Piper-Heidsieck or Champagne Charles Heidsieck).
This champagne has been made with a combination of 70% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier grapes. These grapes have been gathered from Heidsieck’s own 420 hectares of vineyards, and another 2,8000 hectares of partnership and leased vineyards. All these estates are located in the three most significant areas of the Champagne region: Cote des Blancs, Vallee de la Marne and the Montagne de Reims.
This wine offers soft and sweet profile, with reasonable dosage likely. Drinkers can expect notes of apple strudel, crisp apples, almond, flowers, sweet white grapes, buttered toast, peaches, apricot and a little tangy citrus. The wine pours a straw gold, and has a creamy mousse, with full bodied and persistent bubbles.
An excellent accompaniment to white meats, seafood and lighter pasta dishes.
