An impressive white rum from Havana Club’s Professional Editions series.
This range sees Havana Club utilise the skills of leading bartenders from around the world in developing new rums, specially created for bar service.
Havana Club Edición Profesional D apparently took the longest of all the Professional Edition rums to develop. When creating this bottling, Havana Club tapped top notch bartenders Carina Soto Velasquez and Alex Kratena, to lend their expertise.
This bottling contains fresh destilado de cana (a similar style spirit to Agricole rum) and older, fuller bodied aguardientes. The oldest rums in this bottling have been aged for four years, before presumably being filtered for colour, as the rum is crystal clear.
The result is a fresh, bright white rum that offers up a herbal, grassy, and almost Agricole like profile, with notes of honey, flowers, grassy cane, vanilla, sea salt, green apple and grapes, peppery spice, very faint oak and mint. Bone dry with a herbal finish.
An excellent, extremely characterful rum that is perfect for cocktails.
