A maritime inspired gin from the Haswell and Hastings Company.
A rather classic recipe, this gin is made with coriander seeds, angelica root, savory, grains of paradise, orange, sweet lemon, liquorice root, gooseberry and (of course) juniper berries! The spirit has been distilled in a pot still designed by the Arnold Holstein company.
This gin has a fruity, fragrant profile, with notes of sweet juniper, pine, bright citrus, tart gooseberry, black liquorice candy and earthy spice. Soft, and rather delicate.
Hastings 1066 takes its name from the battle that changed everything for England, and is certainly a conquering spirit.
