A world famous French orange and Cognac liqueur which was created in 1880.
Created by Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle, who was the son of a wine and spirits merchant, the name was apparently suggested by César Ritz, the hotelier.
This liqueur is made from a distillation of bitter orange, Cognac and sugar.
Packed with citrusy deliciousness, and with a strong core of aromatic and complex Cognac, this is a mighty liqueur which works well both in cocktails and in French desserts.
One of the best for nearly 140 years.
