A superb LBV Port from the ancient house of Graham’s.
This wine was bottled in 2020, and was made using grapes from the 2015 vintage.
The grapes were sourced from prime sites in the Duoro valley, in four of Graham’s vineyards. The 2015 vintage required a revised picking schedule, but was highly regarded by Charles Symington, Graham’s head winemaker, who said: “Fully ripened berries with balanced maturations were the reward for correctly reading the signs in our vineyard.”
This wine was matured in large oak barrels for five years. The end result is a wine with dark, almost purple colour, and notes of blackberries, liquorice, rose, mint, plums, brown sugar and warming spice.
A truly fantastic Port, that pairs beautifully with soft cheese and dark chocolate desserts. No need to decant.
