Excellence by name, excellence by nature, this is a superb Brut Champagne from Gosset.

Established in 1584, Gosset is the oldest wine house in Champagne, and one of the smallest of the Grande Marque producers.

Made with a combination of 36% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir and 19% Pinot Meunier, this wine was aged for three years on lees.

The wine pours a pale gold colour, with a frothy, snow-white mousse that holds for some time. The bead is persistent and extremely fine, with the wine offering flavours of honey on toast, some yeasty pastry, pear juice, lemon acidity, subtle flowers and some gentle nuttiness.

Gosset is rightly regarded as one of the most luxurious Champagnes. Drink in the next five years.
