The European whisky movement shows no sign of slowing, with this single malt whisky hailing from the Czech Republic.
The spirit was distilled from barley grown in Northern Moravia. Distillation occurred at the Rudolf Jelinek distillery, and the whisky was aged for 10 years in new oak casks of European winter oak.
The result is a dram that offers plentiful new oak character, with intense fresh fruits, bright oak, vanilla, creamy honey, caramelised apples, fruit punch, plums, ginger, cinnamon, prunes and cloves.
Bottled at 49.2%, this dram is both non chill filtered and natural in colour.
I bought a bottle of 10yr old in Prague at the jelinik distillery. I am Scottish and I enjoy a whisky (scotch). This is outstanding it's up there with the best in the world.
