The replacement to the famous 12 year old, this whisky was first released at the end of 2014. Designed as an homage to distillery founder George Smith, Founder’s Reserve is packaged in Georgian blue- both a nod to the time of the distillery’s founding, and Smith’s first name. This is a non-age-stated entry level whisky, and has the quality to mix it with the rest in a now quite congested market. Indeed, Glenlivet Master Distiller Alan Winchester has admitted that he enjoys this dram with a little bit of ice!
