A 12 year old from Speyside distillery Glen Elgin.
Glen Elgin is an underrated producer, which has been a key supplier to the famous White Horse blend throughout the years. The distillery produces a fruity style of whisky and enjoys a loyal following.
This 12 year old is soft and supple, with notes of malt, cereal sweetness, vanilla, coffee, honey, apples, pears, peach, plums, dried fruits, salted caramel, sugary cake and oats.
Bottled at 43% ABV for a little extra body and warmth, this is an satisfying dram.
Good value for a whisky of this high quality.
