An extremely interesting bottling from the Glenora distillery in Canada. Glenora is found on Cape Breton, Nova Scotia: a verdant and fertile area which looks out across the Atlantic. Unlike much of the whisky produced in Canada, this is a single malt! This whisky has been finished in Icewine casks, giving an extra layer of sweetness and complexity. The casks themselves were also sourced from Canada, being brought in from the Nova Scotia winemakers The Jost Vineyards. The whisky is clean and soft, with orchard fruits and delicious notes of sweet wine grapes. A surprising dram, with a finish you don’t see enough!
