On the ceramic, old-time style bottle, the Portuguese word Saudade features prominently. This roughly translates as “Nostalgic”, an apt description of this old-fashioned, back to basics dry gin. This gin is distilled in Hamburg, Germany using Portuguese lemons, coriander, juniper, rosemary, cinnamon and allspice, alongside Mediterranean lavender and rock rose. The result is rich and citrusy gin, with a big hit of floral highlights. An interesting expression, with a lovely bottle.
