Well, this is interesting! A spiced rum release from one the most highly regarded rum distilleries in the world.

Foursquare, found in Barbados, is a cult distillery, with head distiller Richard Seale rightly acclaimed for producing spirits “the right way”. This rum is no exception.

This is not a standard spiced rum. For one, it is not overwhelmingly vanilla-forward. The spices here are subtle, present only to enhance the rum’s natural flavours, rather than overwhelm the spirit.

The result is a tasty, slightly dry spiced rum, perfect for use in cocktails.

At 35% ABV, this is extremely approachable stuff – great for low proof drinks on a hot day.
