A relatively recent addition to the Famous Grouse line, released in 2015. This blend was created by Master Blender Gordon Motion to showcase a more heavily sherried version of their whisky.

Mellow Gold is matured in a mixture of former Bourbon and sherry casks, with a higher ratio of sherry cask whisky than the normal Famous Grouse.

The result is a richer, denser whisky, with heapings of vanilla, dried fruit, espresso, dark chocolate, citrus rind, and orchard fruit.

This would make a great, affordable daily drinker for those in search of a tasty sherried malt, whilst this bigger bottle ensures even better value for money.
