A cracking cask finished rum from Antigua, bottled by English Harbour.
The company take their name from the natural harbour found on the south coast of Antigua, which offers excellent protection from the Caribbean’s extreme weather conditions.
The rum itself has been distilled in a column still, before being aged for five years in former Bourbon barrels, and then finished for a couple of months in Sherry casks.
The result is an excellent, rather sweet and spicy rum, with notes of jammy berries, vanilla, oak, burnt brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, pineapple, cloves and fresh ginger.
Bottled at the higher proof of 46% for extra body and warmth.
