A delicious dark Rhum Agricole from Dillon, the number one Agricole producer in the French market.

The rum is labelled with the Cognac age grade of VSOP, meaning it must be a minimum of four years old. This rum is in fact considerably more mature, indeed, it lives up to its title of Très Vieux, or very old, with an actual age of around 8 years. Maturation has occurred in “small oak casks”.

Dillon are based in Martinique, and use high quality cane to produce their rum. Unlike other rum styles, Rhum Agricole is made with the fermented juice of the sugar cane, producing a lighter, fragrant style.

This bottling serves up notes of chocolate, vanilla, plums, dried fruits, hazelnuts, toffee, coconut, bright grassy cane and lime juice.

A good sipping rum, that would also make a cracking base for cocktails.
