A high quality Peruvian Pisco, whose name translates as “Devil of the Andes”.
This name was originally given to Francisco de Carvajal, a Spanish conquistador known for his brutality, cunning and love of wine. It was said when he could not find Spanish wine, he would drink what was local to Peru.
The traditional grape eau-de-vie of Peru, this Pisco is made with Quebranta, Albilla, Torontel, Moscatel and Italia grapes from the Tacama vineyard (known as the first Vineyard of Peru), which are fermented and then distilled.
The final product is an unaged Pisco that offers a pure flavour of the grapes, with notes of raisins, grappa-like grapes, green wood, vanilla, almond and subtle spice.
Makes a mean Pisco Sour!
