The inspiration for this release comes from René Magritte’s 1929 surrealist painting, “Ceci n”est pas une pipe’, a painting meant to challenge the perception of reality. Compass box would like that this release gets us to think about what a “luxury” whisky really is. Is it just about being expensive or rare, or is it about the taste. Thankfully, Compass Box believes that it is all about what’s inside the bottle. This whisky is complex, rich, and lightly smoky.
