A cracking single malt Irish whisky from a mystery distillery! The whisky bears the title 1014, which pays homage to Brian Boru’s victory over the Viking invaders in that year, a battle that occurred at Clontarf in Northside Dublin. This is a triple distilled whisky that has been aged in bourbon barrels. As a result, this is a gentle approachable Irish dram, with classic honey sweetness, biscuity malt notes and a strong core of vanilla from the bourbon barrels. An excellent value option for an Irish Single Malt, and one that fans of the Classic Blend should definitely try.
