A wonderfully well crafted Armagnac from Chateau Arton, which lies in the Gers department of the south westerly region of Gascony in France.
Arton is blessed with ideal conditions for the growing of grapes for Armagnac, with a limestone rich soil, found on top of a natural underground reservoir. The spirit is distilled in small continuous stills, starting on the first of November each year. This Armagnac is made using grapes from the ‘Pasteur’ field, which overlook the lake at the Domaine.
This is a blend of different eau-de-vie. Matured in French oak casks, this is a rich and fruity Armagnac, with notes of toasted vanilla, herbaceous flowers, white wine, sweet grapes, toffee and dusty oak.
A phenomenal introduction to this distillery’s offerings.
