A grappa produced by the Cellini company.
Cellini take their name from Benevenuto Cellini, a goldsmith and sculptor from Florence, who encountered distillation during a stay in Venice. He was so struck by the process that he abandoned his sculpture career to pursue distillation.
The bottling is produced using the Glera grape, most famous for being the base of Prosecco wine bottlings. This grappa uses grapes from ten different harvests, producing a complex and well balanced profile. The spirit has been aged for a time in oak casks.
The final result is a spicy, precise spirit with notes of wood, spice, dried fruits, vanilla, fresh grape, slight smoke, flowers and toffee.
Beautifully presented in a Prosecco style bottle, with a gold foil closure that recalls Cellini’s first life as a goldsmith.
