Well, well, well, a small batch gin from a distillery and region best known for whisky! Balmenach distillery in Speyside has long been impressing whisky drinkers with their marvellous independently bottled expressions. Now they’ve tried their hands at gin, and the results are equally impressive. Caorunn (pronounced ka-roon) is partially made with handpicked botanicals, including heather, coul blush apple, dandelion and rowanberry. Much like the bottles smart, minimalist style, this is a clean cut and fresh tasting gin, with lots of juniper and slight floral notes. A must try for gin and whisky fans alike!
