Another superb artisanal gin to come out of the English distilling renaissance.
Produced in the ancient and holy city of Canterbury, this gin offers a real taste of the Kent countryside, with the Foundary Brew Pub distillery practicing a grain to glass method.
The gin includes amongst its botanicals East Kent Golding Hops, a knowing nod to the county’s proud history of brewing ale. Hops are joined by seven other botanicals: lemon and orange peel, juniper, coriander seeds, Kentish apple, angelica and orris root.
A classic London dry gin, with a contemporary twist, Foundary said they were “driven by traditional values but fuelled by modern taste” when producing this spirit, and that certainly shows. This is a particularly juicy gin, with fruity citrusy flavours offset by the bittersweet brightness of hops and juniper.
A simple and delicious gin, with a superb brightness and refreshing nature.
