Love Negronis but don’t have time for all the mixing and stirring? Then this is the bottle for you.
The Negroni cocktail has a history over 100 years long, having first been created in Florence in 1919, when Count Camillo Negroni ordered a bartender to make his normal drink, an Americano (a combination of Campari, Sweet Vermouth and soda water) stronger with the addition of gin. An orange twist was used as garnish, and the Negroni was born. Famous actor and director Orson Welles was said to have enjoyed the drink whilst working in Rome.
Produced by the iconic Campari liqueur, a necessary ingredient in this cocktail, this bottling perfectly captures the flavour of the Negroni, without the fuss. As Campari own Cinzano, we might assume that the vermouth used here is Cinzano Rosso. Simply pour over ice and enjoy the bitter, herbal and botanical flavours of this classic cocktail.
