A delightfully mature single grain whisky distilled at the Cameronbridge distillery, the largest grain distillery in Europe.

This dram was released as part of Diageo’s 2022 Special Releases collection, which carried the theme Elusive Expressions. This is the first time that Cameronbridge (also known as Cameron Brig) has ever appeared in the special releases.

The spirit itself was aged for 26 years in refill bourbon casks - which have a restrained impact on the whisky, and allow its natural qualities to shine through.

The end product is a whisky with notes of rich, sweet caramel, charred oak, vanilla, baked apples, milky coffee, flaky pastry, cinnamon, pepper, beeswax, milk chocolate, mint, some (sweeter) oak, blackcurrant and warm currant buns.

Bottled at a cask strength of 56.2% ABV, this is a marvellous example of how delicious single grain whisky can be.
