A gin created by Joe Santos, former Bacardi employee in Warwick, upstate New York. One of the best-looking gin bottles you are likely to encounter; this reflects the superb quality of the spirit. The gin is made using some very interesting botanicals indeed: cocoa nibs, lavender, Persian lime, Eureka lemon, Navel orange and kumquat, alongside the standard orris, coriander, angelica and juniper. This is a classic American Dry style, with the juniper’s bittersweet piney flavours somewhat muted compared to its forefather across the Atlantic. The gin is punchy and zesty, with a little curry spice and nutty flavours, leading into a peppery hit, and sweet intense citrus flavour. Really good over ice with a squeeze of lime, or mixed into more complex, citrus driven gin cocktails.
