A delicious single cask Blair Athol bottled by Signatory Vintage for their long-running Cask Strength Collection.

Distilled in April 2008, and bottled nearly exactly 13 years later in April 2021, this dram has been aged initially in refill hogheads, before a finish in a single fresh sherry butt. The maturation has produced a single malt whisky deep in both colour and flavour.

The result is a lush dram, with Blair Athol’s signature “nutty spicy” style at its core, accompanied by notes of dried fruit, dark oak, leather, vanilla, liquorice, cola cube sweets, toffee, cinnamon, crunchy malt, marmalade, and fresh ginger.

Bottled at 54.5% ABV and without either chill filtration or colouration, only 686 bottles were produced.
