Big Peat’s Christmas Editions are something of an annual tradition, with this 2020 bottling marking 10 years since Douglas Laing & Co. first gave their smoky blended malt a festive makeover.

The blended malt contains spirit from illustrious Islay distilleries, including: Ardbeg, Bowmore, Caol Ila and the highly sought after Port Ellen.

The result is richly peated dram, with notes of ashy woodsmoke, thick tar, oily peat, sea spray, vanilla, lemon rind, charred oak, white pepper, tobacco, some earthy malt and green apples.

This whisky has been bottled at a Cask Strength of 53.7% ABV.
