Ho ho ho! Big Peat has got his Christmas hat on again for 2018!
This special festive bottles have become something of a fan favourite and yuletide tradition for world-class independent bottlers, Douglas Laing.
Not only does the packaging get a redesign (featuring a peat-blasted Father Christmas stuck halfway down the chimney), the whisky itself is kicked up for the holidays, weighing in at a cask strength of 53.9% ABV.
Big Peat does what it says on the tin, offering huge flavours of peaty goodness, even more intense in this Christmas edition. Drinkers can expect flavours of sea spray, ashy peat, touches of citrus, charcoal, charred oak, a little tropical fruit and vanilla.
The blended malt is made with Islay distilled whisky, including spirit from Bowmore, Caol Ila, Ardbeg and the illustrious soon-to-be-reopened Port Ellen!
More than just a party trick, this is a genuinely lovely peated whisky.
