The Balvenie 12 Year Old Single Barrel is a more recent addition to Balvenie’s core range, joining their famed 15 Year Old Single Barrel expressions. Named “First Fill”, this whisky is aged exclusively in the finest ex-bourbon casks which have never been used before for maturing Scotch whisky. Specially selected by Balvenie’s Malt Master, David Stewart, this bottling is one of no more than 300 from cask no. 5831. You can expect the classic, honeyed character of Balvenie accompanied by vanilla, cinnamon and other spices imparted from the fresh bourbon barrels.
