First released in 2014 by Dewar’s as part of their “The Last Great Malts” range, this has historically formed a part of the Dewar’s blends.
Known for an intense, fragrant, light flavours yet heavy texture, this whisky has long fermentations and downward lyne arms, producing an oilier spirit.
Aultmore 12 year old has a fresh, lemonade like character, with a warm malt note, flavours of toffee, vanilla, fresh apples, heather honey, pressed flowers, and honeysuckle.
The malt is bottled at 46% ABV, ensuring its heavier palate is preserved.
A wonderfully balanced whisky, at once light and heavy, fragrant and complex. Really worth trying.
