A rather fascinating Dominican rum.

Atlántico Gran Reserva is the product of both molasses- and cane juice-based (Agricole style) rums, which have first aged separately, then married and aged together, before a final maturation in a solera system.

The aging occurs in former Bourbon American white oak casks, which lends the spirit a spritely oaky spice and vanilla richness.

The two different rum bases provide a superb balance to this blend, with the Agricole giving grassier, more fragrant cane-forward flavours, whilst the Molasses gives a dark sweetness, and depth.

Rounding off this fantastic product is its charming nautical themed packaging.
