A fascinating green chilli liqueur from the Ancho Reyes series.
This liqueur is made with green chillies which have been grown in the fertile volcanic region of Puebla, and a portion of which have been fire roasted to introduce a smoky-sweet flavour. The chilies are then macerated with a neutral cane spirit for six months.
Once this infusion is complete, the spirit is blended to by a master blender to ensure consistency and balance.
While the original bottling is more intensely spicy, this green chilli edition offers subtle earthy and vegetal notes, bringing flavours of cinnamon, white pepper, lime rind, fresh green chilli, smoked paprika, a little sugar cane sweetness, agave, coriander and green capsicum / bell pepper.
A truly unique offering, this works brilliantly in Margaritas and all manner of agave-based cocktails.
