An excellent 100% Agave Tequila with a very distinctive bottle. The Tequila is named after the bull, which features as a motif on the stopper and the label. After gathering their Agave from the Los Altos region in the Highland region (a cool, semi-dry area perfect for Agave growing), it is baked in a brick oven. Aha Toro distill their spirit in stainless steel pot stills. The spirit has been aged in traditional American oak barrels for around a year. On the nose, this fine Tequila opens with crisp, full cask aromas of vanilla, oak, cloves and toffee, before a more succulent grassy Agave takes hold, followed with touches of burnt grass. The palate is full and creamy, with lovely oak flavours, the same succulent Agave as on the nose, a touch of tropical fruit and toffee. The finish is short and sweet with a punch of Agave spice. Like the spirit, the bottle is also hand-made by Mexican artisans, providing a fitting finishing touch to this fine spirit. An excellent alternative to Bourbon, rum or malt whisky for after-dinner drinking.
