Said to be the vodka that launched the Cosmopolitan cocktail, Absolut Citron is a shining light in an often murky world of flavoured vodkas.

This bottling takes Absolut’s famous vodka, and infuses it with natural extracts of lime, orange, mandarin, grapefruit and, of course, lemon. The vodka was first introduced in 1988, and its success provided the groundwork for the wealth of flavoured vodkas that followed, many of them also produced by Absolut.

The spirit offers up notes of peppery spice, bready wheat, complex citrus skin flavours, juicy grapefruit and lemon, and a touch of orange juice sweetness.

Unsurprisingly, this is excellent in a Cosmo, but it also does well in other citrus forward cocktails.
