A precisely flavoured and complex Japanese gin.
This bottling takes its name from the Akashi Meridian, found at 135 degrees eastern longitude, running past Kaikyo Distillery, where this bottling is made.
Made with a dizzying array of Japanese botanicals, including cedar, shiso leaf, chrysanthemum and the hero ingredients of yuzu and sansho pepper. These botanicals are combined with distilled sake spirit, alongside traditional gin botanicals of juniper, coriander and angelica.
The result is a vibrant, flavoursome gin with notes of pepper, tangy citrus, chopped herb, some soft flowers, green tea and juicy juniper berries.
Delicious served with a slice of yuzu and tonic water.
