Another ripper of a Edradour cask strength bottling from Dutch outfit, the Ultimate Whisky Company.
This bottling has been matured in a single Sherry Butt for nine years, having been distilled on the 6th of March 2009, and bottled on the 16th of November 2018.
The result is a juicy, sherried whisky that serves up notes of thick, earthy malt, honeyed red fruit, plums, figs, sultanas, jammy berries, dark chocolate, chilli, cinnamon, nutmeg, rich oak, toffee and vanilla.
Not a dram for the fainthearted, this bottling is presented at a cask strength of 58.3% ABV, and without chill filtration or colouration, ensuring its natural character can shine through.
A straightforward sherry bomb, only 700 bottles were produced.
