A new whisky from Arran, which formed part of their late 2019 revamp of the brand.

This whisky has been aged exclusively in sherry hogsheads, giving rise to its name, The Bodega (a bodega, in this context, is a sherry producer). This is a richly sherried dram which possesses an excellent intensity of flavour.

Drinkers can expect notes of cherry, crunchy malt, lemon rind, sultanas, figs, prunes, plums, vanilla, old oak, leather, hay, cereal sweetness, cinnamon, nutmeg, sea spray and a touch of dark chocolate.

The whisky is presented at 55.8% ABV, and without chill filtration or colouration, allowing the natural colour of the sherry cask to take centre stage.

Arran suggest trying this dram alongside their Quarter Cask to illustrate how two very different barrel varieties compliment Arran’s spirit.
